The annual Leonid meteor shower will peak on the night of Nov. 16-17. The moon will be a few days past new, so moonlight will not mask the bright streaks flashing across the sky. Venus and Jupiter, the two brightest planets, will rendezvous in the morning sky during the first week of November.
