An assembly of renowned anthropologists will gather in Bloomington to discuss the most recent research and debates on the history of the concept of race, genetics, policy and politics in the Americas. "Rethinking Race in the Americas: Anthropology, Politics and Policy" takes place April 17 and 18 at the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, and is sponsored by the IU Bloomington Department of Anthropology. The conference also serves as a celebration of the department's 60th anniversary of scholarship and teaching.
