The IUplanet labs are always busy as we’re constantly trying to come up with the next big thing. So far, we’ve produced several beer pong tables and a weird drink that involves orange juice and tomato sauce. Lucky for you, we don’t take pride in those discoveries, so instead I’ve provided three recent scientific discoveries that may (probably won’t) change your life forever.
Chicken lays green eggs – In Mexico, it’s tougher to come across the Hiltons and Lohans, so celebrity is handed to freak specimens, such as chickens who shell out green shells. Apparently shell color is determined by color, so she get it from her mama. One question: where’s the ham?
Double-Dipping Discovery – George Castanza popularized the detestation of double dipping, but do his claims hold up? Professor Paul L. Dawson, a microbiologist at Clemson, tested the claims and came to this conclusion: “The way I would put it is, before you have some dip at a party, look around and ask yourself, would I be willing to kiss everyone here? Because you don’t know who might be double dipping, and those who do are sharing their saliva with you.”
Can a plane take off from a conveyor belt? - We know this one's been bugging you for awhile. Well, after blowing enough stuff up and challenging enough folklore, the Myth Busters had to begin digging deep in their creative closet. Thus, the airplane-taking-off-from-a-conveyor test was born. After much speculation, the trials provided an answer. SPOILER ALERT: The plane took off.
