Tuesday in my History of Rock and Roll class, I was starting to drift off a bit as my teacher paged through the syllabus. I was glad to be there, but it was the fifth syllabus I had had read to me in two days. Luckily I was saved—by a clown. Halfway through the third page, my teacher stopped abruptly. “Is that a clown?” he asked. He soon invited the clown in, who proceeded by doing a little dance and throwing a pie in someone’s face. It was an instant classic. Luckily it’s up on YouTube. But don’t think that that was the only classroom prank that’s ever been taped at IU. Here are a few of them:
Indiana University Class Clown – Hilarious
This is the one that happened on Tuesday. It’s already getting a lot of traffic on YouTube. The camera is kind of shaky, but you get the idea.
Star Wars Lecture Hall Prank 2007
This video is kind of long, but there are some funny parts. Kids dress up as things from Star Wars and harass people--how could it not be funny? My favorite is when they try to get a key replaced in the dorms.
Ghostbuster's Lecture Hall Prank
This is probably the most well known of Indiana University pranks. It has almost 275,000 views on YouTube and made its way around the web (CollegeHumor, GorillaMask, etc). Again, the video is long, but has cool editing and music. Plus, it's funny and may have happened in the class of someone you know.
There are, of course, also a few great ones that didn't happen at IU. Here are a few of the best:
Prangstgrup - Reach! A Lecture Musical Prank!!
I always wished that my class would break out in random song. This one does.
Prangstgrup -- NYU Campus Tour Prank
This doesn't happen in a lecture hall, but it's still a great prank on a college campus. So awkard.
Anyways, enjoy and keep pranking, Hoosiers!
