Some of you may know that Hanson came to town last night. It was probably the biggest flash from the past I’ve had since I saw an episode of “Legends of the Hidden Temple” over Thanksgiving break. Yeah, it was an even bigger flashback than when I played Pogs with my little cousin a few weeks ago. I’m really sad that I missed it, but their visit did get me thinking. Here are a few of my thoughts:
Is it just me, or does the middle one still looks like a girl? (I mean the one on the right in the picture). I mean, I thought it was just a thing he’d grow out of with puberty, but I am really convinced now that he is a girl. Are they afraid that the idea of a band with two brothers and one sister wouldn’t work?
Do people really still listen to them? I mean, “MmmmBop” was catchy, but not that great. I’m sure they’ve come out with new music since then, but you can’t see their pretty faces when you listen to their CD, so what’s the point?
Does anyone else find it creepy that they are still together as a band and they are three brothers? I mean, the Partridge Family was cool, but even they grew sick of each other after a while. Are they members of some creepy like ultra-Christian cult or something? I just find it weird.
Not sure if you read it yet, but according to IDSnews.com, Bluebird got in trouble last night because they allowed as many as 14 minors loiter outside last night during the concert. Apparently, Hanson’s fan base is still those crazy 12 year-old girls.
Is it just me, or is this the biggest 10th anniversary of an album ever? Screw the Beatles, Hanson changed LIVES. I’m really sad that I missed it.
