We all hate being the victims of pranks, but we love watching them. But perhaps more captivating than straightforward pranks are pranks ‘gone wrong.’ If you search “prank gone wrong” in YouTube, you’ll find a thriving community of botched pranks. However, most are unimaginatively called “prank gone wrong.” So, we compiled them in a top list of videos where the general moral of the story is, stop messing with other people’s feelings!
Garbage Man Prank Gone Wrong – If it’s 8:00am and you’re lying in your friend’s front yard with a smelly 200-pound garbage man on top of you screaming obscenities, you’re probably doing something wrong.
Dryer Prank Gone Wrong – Maybe your friend thought volunteering to be put in the dryer would be a good idea for your little video. But when he comes to the realization that he could be seriously, seriously hurt, let him out. Or else, you might wind up getting slammed in the face with a dryer door.
Halloween Prank Gone Wrong – AKA “Never Scare a Brother II” in reference to
this gem. There’s a running theme in all of these videos: jumping out of the trash is a bad idea. And it makes sense—who or what would ever be in a trashcan? Something deserving to be hit in the face.
Prank Gone Wrong (car) – I will admit, I’ve hung out of car windows in acts of celebration. But pushing innocent bike riders off their bikes while hanging from a moving vehicle is wrong in so many ways. I hate to say it, but this kid got what he deserved.
Prank Gone Wrong (Mohawk) – When I see an extremely large person sleeping, I usually try not to disturb him or her. Furthermore, if that person is sporting a purple Mohawk, I just stay the hell out of that room. This kid doesn’t understand that concept.
