Pick Up Volleyball in Bloomington?

Hello!

Anyone know where to play co-ed, pick up volleyball in Bloomington? I'm looking for a competitive atmosphere but with a heavy emphasis on just having fun. I’ve already checked the sportsplex, but didn’t have any luck.

Thanks for any info you can provide!

Hey, I know sometimes people play at the SRSC. Your best bet is to play on an intramural team (sorry if that's obvious), though that's not year round. But yeah, I know on the weekends at the SRSC, there is usually a net up and people playing. When it's warmer, check out the dorm courtyards too.

Thanks for the response, but I'm looking for something that does not require a commitment. Anyone know of any county programs or local gyms/fitness clubs that have pick up v-ball? Thanks again for any replies.

my only other suggestion would be the HPER, but honestly i think the SRSC and the dorms (ha!) would be your best bet...

you may wanna check the local ymca out (Bloomington - Normal YMCA | Sports)

Also looking for a community Volleyball Team

I am also looking for a casual community volleyball team. I recently moved to B-town with 2 kids and wife, and looking for things to do on Saturday morning. Can someone suggest a place where I can look for?

hey guys- i feel ya on the saturday morning thing. i've normally heard about the sportsplex being geared towards that sort of thing

sportsplex games: Bloomington SportsPlex

there's a place called iron pit that's actually open 24/7, but i believe they're just a weight lifting gym...correct me if im wrong (Iron Pit Gym Fitness Center - Bloomington, Indiana's only 24-hour gym and fitness center)

hope that helps!

Hi, if you are still interested in playing volleyball we play every Sunday from 6 to around 9 pm in HEPER on the second floor. Usually enough people show up for pick up games and we play on both courts. Very friendly and nice people. Sometimes, we play on Thursdays or Tuesdays but it all depends if we are in the mood for volleyball or not. But definitely on Sundays.
