Should Kelvin Sampson start exploring IU's other options?
A buddy of mine suggested that he should start Ratliff today against Northwestern. He also said that Kelvin Sampson should play Brandon McGee a lot. Are we really that desparate that we need to start looking for the bench players to step up?
Absolutely not. AJ Ratliff and Brandon McGee haven't earned starting spots. When Ratliff has played, he plays like garbage. Who would we sit? Jamarcus Ellis? That's just not worth it.

Your buddy doesn't know what he's talking about. Ratliff and ESPECIALLY McGee have no business starting. McGee is a freshman that is still raw and has a lot of improvement to make when it comes to making good decisions. Ellis has shown good all-around ability, and we need his help on the boards.

Interesting...we did explore our options, but not with either of those two. It was with Taber, who looked surprisingly good. Your buddy was right, but picked the wrong players.
Dude, if you've been watching IU, we don't HAVE other options. We thought we had good depth, but we really don't. Crawford, Ellis, Deandre, Ratliff, none of them have lived up to their early season heroics.
I see where you're going with this, dude. But like Clark said, we're exhausted. If theres any sign of consistency on the squad, we need to move on....operative word being "if"
