Has IU's recruiting success surprised you?

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure if Bill Lynch was going to be able to recruit like Hoepp, but he has far exceeded my expectations. I feel like he's really stepped up to the plate after getting his extension. I hope that he keeps up the great work!

I think Lynch was and still is the perfect hire. He's going to take our football program to new places, and I can't wait!

Although we are not getting 4 and 5 star guys I think Lynch is getting the recruits he needs to start building his team. We are getting players that other Big Ten teams are going after.

Right, I think we're getting guys with big potential, low-risk high-reward players. Give them 2 or 3 years and they could be that 5-star guy. Exactly like Crean's strategy right now, pretty much.

Recruits

I like what both Lynch and Crean are doing. Make an offer to the player, if you don`t get a commitment move on. Mike Davis went after guys to long and when he did`t get them it was to late to get the players that wanted to come although not as highly ranked.
