The Xavier Musketeers brought in another great player at the expense of Indiana today. Former guard
Jordan Crawford, who elected to transfer after the coaching change this season, has committed to play for the Musketeers.
Crawford is heading to Xavier
Xavier recruited Crawford extensively in high school, but he chose Indiana the first time. This time around, Xavier was first in line for his services. The Musketeers didn't have an open scholarship, but an undisclosed player gave up his scholarship for Crawford for the good of the team.
Last year the 6'4", 195 lb guard exceeded the expectations of many and averaged 9.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in an outstanding freshman campaign.
Crawford will be eligible for the 2009 season, and will join a team that picks up two four-star recruits in 6'11"
Kenny Frease and the 6'0"
Terrell Holloway this year. Holloway was verbally committed to come to IU this year but re-committed to Xavier after this season's new developments. He and Crawford will give the Musketeers two explosive options in the backcourt.
