Clippers take Eric Gordon

Gordon's headin to LA.

Will he start?

Will he take the point guard position?

Is Gordon + The Clippers a good match?

What say you?

Well he's definitely going to start right away, the question is where and how well.

The Clippers need a point guard badly right now, but EJ is unproven at the point. If he can develop into a strong PG or the Clippers pick up a better option at point, LA will be a great place for him to become a star on a possibly rising team. Otherwise it could be a rough first few years.

Durant was rookie of the year on a pretty bad Supersonics team. Now I don't see EJ winning that award, but he could still succeed on a very bad team like the Clippers. I'm thinking the Clippers might trade Elton Brand, who is still very good, for some younger prospects, namely a point guard.

I like him there, he gets to play the part of cornerstone player for a team. If the Clippers make some good moves, we could be seeing a lot more of Gordon.

Interesting that with DJ going to the Sonics, both guys are on up and coming squads. I thought that DJ would end up on an established team like the Pistons, he's more of a hustle, high energy player than a top tier prospect.
