He won't have to sit out a year if he goes to Detroit Mercy, right? I'm not sure Kentucky has a scholarship open for him.

Why would he not have to sit out a year. Detroit is a Div. 1 school I believe.

Check out this article on the Crawford-UK possibility. Sounds like he's interested, but IU might have the option to block him...

Crawford

What are IU`s options. Can they block more than one school. If so they should block both UK and Detroit.

I believe that it's normal for a school to block in-conference schools, and it's also reasonable to block prominent rivals (which would give them a case to block Kentucky, even though it's not in the Big Ten). I don't know if they can block Detroit, even though McCallum's there. I think that would be favorable to him going to Kentucky.

I bet IU will make an attempt to block Kentucky, they need to. It's just too heated of a rivalry to allow a good prospect to transfer there.

Has he even expressed any interest in Detroit? I know it's his hometown and everything, but I haven't heard about him publicly listing his schools.
