My opinion: Eric should stay another year!

Dear Eric,

Yes, I know you're going to be a surefire top-5 lottery pick in the NBA draft, but I really think that you should stay another year and end your college career on a good note. Do you really want to leave IU with a first round NCAA Tournament loss to Arkansas??

Yes, you have immense talent and potential, but you would surely benefit (and so would the team) from developing your skills and learning the ins and outs of the game for one more year.

No, we don't know who the coach is going to be, but after this year I think they'll bring in someone who's going to do it well and do it right.

Just think...if we hire a good coach, retained all our pieces and got DJ to apply for a medical redshirt, you could be cutting down the nets next year!!

Idealistic? Maybe...but I can wish, right?

This is idealistic...Eric Gordon makes a lot of mistakes but I still don't think we'd be better off without him. We just need a coach who's willing to SIT HIM when he needs to get his head back on straight!

Who knows, if they are looking for PT it might actually hurt our chances for Holloway...

That's true... But I think it would help, really. I mean, a better team helps everyone.

We can always wish, can't we? I don't see him coming back, even if he was the only freshman leaving school.

Haha... this is like a letter an elementary school kid writes to a superstar. Give it up. He's gone.

I wish the IDS would start running things about how he should stay. I would really love for him to know how much some fans want him still.

The door's still open for him to stay! I think it's stupid that IU's students aren't openly lobbying for him to come back. It's dumb that people think that we'd be better off without him.
