Crean's use of Tae Kwon Do in training

What do you guys think about this practice strategy?

I happen to like it, even though it seems kind of strange. After all this team's been through, a martial art would be a great way to instill some discipline into the team. Also, the physical benefits of increased reaction time, hand speed, conditioning, etc., seem very promising.

Also, does anyone know of any other programs that still do this? I'd imagine Marquette might still use it.

It's definitely strange but it could work. If it doesn't, then they won't continue it. I have a feeling there will be a lot of trial and error this season.

Yea, there was an article back in one of the Daily Scoops...apparently he had implemented it at marquette as well before he left. Hopefully we get similar results
