I believe I made no reference to the "Puck Furdue" shirt earlier... obviously that could be interpreted as offensive. But "Bring Back Bobby" is not offensive in the least. If IU wanted to avoid negative press, they shouldn't violate First Amendment rights.
Also, I don't quite understand how this is anything like the Chaplinsky case. A man handing out pamphlets saying that organized religion is a "racqueteering" business and a man handing out t-shirts that say "Bring Back Bobby" are nothing alike.

OK nice point on the video, I was just making the point that attending the basketball game is a PRIVILEGE for fans, not a right, and by attending the game you sign away a degree of your rights, and basically agree to play by the school's rules.
I only mentioned the "Puck Furdue" shirt because it is half of the author's argument and still very relevant.
Lastly, it
is somewhat like the Chaplinsky case because the guy was trying to actively spread a point of view that is critical of the basketball program/current coaching staff in an environment where it went against the grain of the authority.
You are free to have your own opinion and I respect that, but I really don't this was or is going to be a big deal. It's just a lot of hot air that will subside as we resolve the Sampson issue.
