I couldn't agree more about self-proclaimed nicknames. I was once talking to a buddy of mine in the Air Force about various call names in his squadron. He gave a couple of good examples of why you should never give yourself your own nickname. His fellow airmen go out of their way to not use it and give you one that is much, much worse. Hehe.
